Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2008

The world’s largest open-submission exhibition, it displays work by unknown artists alongside established names.

Coordinated by Royal Academicians Gordon Benson, Tony Cragg and Humphrey Ocean, this year’s theme is ‘Man Made’.

Some of the better-known artists going on display include Michael Craig Martin, George Baselitz, Allen Jones and Julian Schnabel.

This year’s memorial gallery is dedicated to RB Kitaj.
